Eva Pau

Eva Pau is the Managing Director of Asia Market, Ireland's largest Asian supermarket, and the host of Eva Pau's Asian Kitchen on RTÉ One.

Eva arrived in Ireland at just one month old with her parents, who spotted a gap in the market for Asian products. Her father, raised in Guangzhou, and her mother, from Hong Kong, opened Asia Market on Drury Street, Dublin 2, in the 1980s. It was not just a business, but Eva's playground, classroom, and the foundation of her love for Asian food.

After graduating from Trinity College Dublin, Eva moved to Hong Kong to work in finance, deepening her passion for travel and the diversity of Asian cuisines. She returned to Ireland to lead the family business, growing the Asia Market from a small Dublin shop into a thriving destination for authentic Asian ingredients.

A passionate advocate for cultural integration and business innovation, Eva was named IMAGE Overall Businesswoman of the Year in 2022, followed by the Trinity Alumni Award in 2023. She serves on the Advisory Council of the Trinity Centre for Asian Studies, is a board member of Dublin Town, and plays an active role in organising the Dublin Lunar New Year Festival.

Whether on screen, in the shop, or championing Irish-Asian cultural exchange, Eva's mission is simple: to share her love of Asian food and show that with the right ingredients, anyone can cook authentic, delicious dishes at home. Her debut Asian cookbook launches in October 2026.
