To help you make the most of this celebration of Ireland's finest flavours, we've compiled responses to some frequently asked questions. Here you'll find details on tickets, accessibility, transportation, kid-friendly features, and more so you can smoothly navigate the foodie festivities.

Most of all, arrive hungry and ready to indulge your tastebuds with our talented chefs and artisans!


Can I purchase tickets at the door?

If a session is not sold-out, tickets will be available at the box office on a first come, first served basis.

Can I change my tickets for another day?

All tickets are non-transferable. Please take time to read our booking terms & conditions.

Can I get a refund?

Unless the event is cancelled, all tickets are non-refundable. Please take time to read our booking terms & conditions before you make a purchase.

What are your ticket terms & conditions?

Please find all of our ticket terms and conditions on Ticketmaster. You can view our ticket pricing here on our website or through the agency you book with.

What does my ticket get me?

Your ticket guarantees admission to the festival where you can sample an array of hero dishes from Ireland and The Ireland's top live-fire chefs and restaurants. On top of that, there will be a free children's area, music and entertainment, eating competitions, a host of bars and Irish Craft Breweries. There will be plenty of interesting vendors, ice creams, and all manner of delights in between.

Where do I collect my tickets from?

Your tickets will be emailed to you. You can choose to print them or better yet, present them to us on your smartphone & we’ll take it from there. We prefer the latter option; it’s better for the environment.

Please use the email you used to purchase the tickets to retrieve your e-tickets.

Please note there will be NO ticket collections available at the venue.

What is included in the pre-sale?

Early bird tickets sales give a discounted entry rate.

Do children need a ticket?

Under 12s go free. 12+ require a ticket for entry.

Kids are granted free access to the festival area but no access to private dining areas.

Do you take corporate bookings?

For corporate bookings please contact us at info@tasteofkildare.ie and we will be happy to accommodate you.

Prices start from €95 - €125 Corporate Hospitality – including dining experiences, entertainment and much more.


When and where is Taste of Kildare taking place?

Taste of Kildare 2024 will take place at Naas Racecourse, Kildare and run through the weekend of:

  • Friday, 20th September
  • Saturday, 21st September
  • Sunday, 22nd September

What are the sessions times?

  • Friday, 20th September 6-10:30pm
  • Saturday, 21st September 12-4:30pm
  • Saturday, 21st September 6-10:30pm
  • Sunday, 22nd September 12-6pm (Family Day)

How can I get there?

Located 18 miles from Dublin, just off the N7 and within walking distance to Naas Town. Parking at the event is complimentary, and various public transportation options, including Expressway and Irish Rail, are easily accessible.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, it is all on one level without steps, with a designated trackway in the main areas. Disabled toilet facilities are available.

Can I stay on between session changeovers?

No, customers are only permitted to be there between the times listed on their ticket. Unless you have purchased a weekend ticket.

Will there be baby changing facilities at Taste of Kildare?

A designated baby change facility will be located beside our organisers' office. This will be clearly marked on our site map, or a member of staff can direct you to it when on site.

Food + Drink + Offerings

Will refreshments be available?

Yes, craft beers, cider, wines, cocktails, whiskey, gin, non-alcoholic, juices, soft drinks, coffee, and teas will be available.

How much will food and drink be?

The prices will start from €6 for a participating vendors and restaurants. Bear in mind, some dishes vary in pricing based on the quality of meat and ingredients used. Craft beer is from €6 for a pint. Long drinks and cocktails start from €8.

Will there be vegan, gluten free, vegetarian options?

Yes, numerous food trucks and restaurants will provide options catering to vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian preferences.

Will there be a kid's area?

Yes, there will be a lovely big children’s area with entertainment, face painting, arts and crafts, playground and much more.

Will there be workshops?

Yes, there will be a variety of complimentary workshops for attendees to enjoy. Additionally, there will be some exciting, ticketed workshops that can be added at an extra cost to enhance your event experience.

Can I bring my own food and drink into the event?

No outside food and drinks are permitted inside the festival gates. Only food and drinks purchased inside the events are permitted, with the exception of baby food.

Can I bring a reusable water bottle?

Yes, provided it is empty upon arrival. We will have filling stations around the site where you can fill up your bottle.

Is there music available?

There will be an abundance of live music and performers. Stay tuned as the line-up will be revealed closer to the event.


How do I pay for my food and drink?

Contactless and mobile payments will now be available throughout the site. You can pay by card or mobile at all vendors.

Is there an ATM?

No ATMs will be present at the event; however, all vendors and food trucks will accept card and contactless payments.

The nearest ATM is in Naas town.

Insider Treats

What is in the VIP area?

The VIP section, accessible only with VIP tickets, offers a premium experience with a variety of beverages, entertainment, and a private DJ.

Where can I find the schedule for chef talks?

Timetables will be coming soon!

Will there be any competitions?

There will be a style afternoon during the Saturday session, where a winner will be selected by judges and announced on the main stage.

Miscellaneous Festival Questions

Are pets allowed?

Guide dogs are permitted on site. No pets are allowed, your furry friends will have to stay at home.

Can I bring an umbrella?

Small umbrellas are permitted only.

How do I sign up to the newsletter?

You can sign up to the newsletter on the home page by entering your email to the sign up to our newsletter section at the bottom of the page.

I lost something at the event what do I do?

If you are still at the festival, please visit the organisers office. If you have left the festival, please email info@tasteofkildare.ie.

What should I wear?

Please check the weather forecast before you arrive and make sure to dress accordingly. It never hurts to have a rain jacket or warm jumper for walking home post-event.

Security + Policies

Security measures in place at Taste of Kildare

Taste of Kildare has a robust security management plan, which is coordinated by event security. Security checks will be in place throughout the event, including bag searches, which may result in delays when entering the site. We ask all guests to be vigilant and not to leave bags or belongings unattended. CCTV will be in operation.

Important Notice

In line with standard security protocols, we are asking visitors not to bring backpacks or large bags to Taste of Kildare. We will be implementing bag searches so please be aware of this and cooperate with our security staff should you be asked permission for your bag to be searched.

Our primary concern is the safety of all our visitors. Line-up subject to change terms & conditions apply. Event subject to license.

Photography Notice

All sound and moving or still picture rights including, without limitation, on the Internet, vest exclusively with the Organisers and any material filmed or recorded at the Event may only be used for the personal, non-profit making enjoyment of amateurs.

By entering the venue, Ticket Holders consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded as visitors attending the Event, and consent to the image or recording of them being used in future marketing material for the Event, or their sponsors.
