Ireland’s Epic Food Story

Flavours of Kildare comes to Taste of Kildare 2026

Sat 15 & Sun 16 August 2026 Naas Racecourse, Co. Kildare Food  |  Nature  |  Heritage

Flavours of Kildare — the county’s umbrella brand for all things food and drink — joins Taste of Kildare this August, bringing more than thirty of Kildare’s finest food, drink and craft producers together at Naas Racecourse.

Kildare’s food story is epic in scale, stretching back more than 5,000 years to Ireland’s earliest farmers, who settled here because of the county’s fertile plains. From world-renowned brands such as Guinness and heritage producers like Minch Malt, to the canal network that connected farms, maltings, mills and distilleries, Kildare has been a pioneer in Irish food production for millennia.

Flavours of Kildare, an initiative of Local Enterprise Office Kildare, carries that story forward. It encompasses food tourism and experience providers, a county-wide food and drink producers network, and the Athy Food, Drink & Skills Innovation Hub — and it aligns with the Horse Country, Barrow Blueway, Grand Canal Greenway and Ireland’s Ancient East brands.

“By 2030, Kildare will be celebrated as Ireland’s most extraordinary food story — shaped by ancient heritage, innovation and contemporary culture.”
